Upcoming Meeting
In lieu of our August meeting, we plan to attend the public reception for the Fine Arts Exhibition at the Colorado State Fair on Thursday August 27th from 5:00 – 8:00pm. We have several members whose images were accepted and will be displayed at the State Fair! Please see our Colorado State Fair page for more details. The address for the fair is 1001 Beulah Ave Pueblo, CO 81004.
Our annual black and white show will be held at the Gold Hill Mesa Community Center. The images will be displayed there for the month of September. Drop off will be Tuesday August 25th from 12:00pm – 1:30 pm. See our email or exhibition page for alternate drop off information. Members are encouraged to enter up to 15 images. The reception for the show will be Thursday, September 10 from 5:00 – 7:30pm. Check out the exhibition page for more information.
Field Trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Our next field trip is planned for sometime in September to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This year is the zoo’s 100 anniversary. Exact date and details will be announced later.
Volunteer Opportunity
Pack Burro Racing Photographers is looking for volunteer photographers to capture the excitement, grit, and charm of Pack Burro Racing — Colorado’s official Summer Heritage Sport. If you want a fun, memorable experience photographing beautiful mountain scenery, historic mining towns, and the incredible bond between runners and their burros, this is your chance.
