Upcoming Meeting
The July meeting will be July 23rd at the East Library in the Community Room from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Please note the change of location for this month.
We will have our second competition of the year. The themes for this competition are sports, bicycles, and open. Our Dave Horn award will be given to the winner of the bicycle theme. All images need to be printed and should be mounted in order to be placed on an easel. They do not need to be framed. The entry fee for each image is $2 cash, and there is no limit to how many images you can enter. You must be present to enter.
Our annual black and white show will be held at the Gold Hill Mesa Community Center. The images will be displayed there for the month of September. Drop off date will be around the end of August. Exact date and time will be sent out later. You will have the opportunity to enter up to 10 images. The reception for the show will be Thursday, September 10 from 5:00 – 7:30. Field Trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Our next field trip is planned for sometime in September to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This year is the zoo’s 100 anniversary. Exact date and details will be announced later.
Colorado State Fair
Please consider entering images into this year’s state fair. In lieu of our August meeting, we plan to attend the public reception for the Fine Arts Exhibition. The entry form and fee deadline is July 22. Please see our Colorado State Fair page for more details.
