TOP TEN GUIDELINES 

  1. PRINTS (11 X 14) OR (14 X 11) brightly colored, glossy, satin, or luster finish preferred.

             Kim Costello (AAFC) will provide a table, butcher paper and tape for mounting prints. 

             DROP OFF: June 2, 2026 – AAFC (10-4)-unlimited prints – PDIS team mounting prints.

             May 28, 2026—Early Drop Off at our monthly meeting – East Library 5:00 – 7:30 pm

  1. LIBRARIAN SUGGESTIONS
  • Nature (single flowers of all colors so we can make a rainbow.)
  • Wildlife (from various countries or the zoo)
  • Domestic Pets (all kinds- lizards, birds, cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, goats, cows, etc.)
  • Transportation (bicycles, boats, buses, cars, skateboards, wagons, strollers, etc.)
  • Musical Instruments (piano, guitars, violin, saxophones, trumpet, drums, tambourines.)
  • Toys (blocks, dolls, stuffed animals, small cars, trucks, Legos, wagons, etc.)
  • Sports (playground equipment, balls, balloons, kites, swimming, skateboards, etc.)
  • Travel. Culture. 
  1. CLEAR, LARGE, and SIMPLE SUBJECTS:  Should be able to tell subject from 6-8 ft away.
  1. PRINT SELECTION BASED ON GUIDELINES by Curator Linda C Case (719-433-1331).
  1. NO ABSTRACTS, NO TITLES, NO HOLIDAYS, NO RELIGIOUS THEMES. NO LANDSCAPES.

             NO BLACK & WHITE PRINTS, NO TRAIN SUBJECTS. FAMILY FRIENDLY SUBJECTS.

  1. NO MATS, NO FRAMES, NO GLASS, NO WIRE. NO ENTRY FEES.
  1. SIGN back of prints with black pen / marker:  First name / last name initial only.
  1. DROP OFF: Tuesday, June 2 (10-4) AAFC. Donations only, pick-up not necessary.

             OPTION: Drop off from now until  June 2, 2026, at AAFC – ask for the PDIS BIN.

NOTE: Librarians are thankful for our photography / digital image contributions. They will use them interactively during their summer classes. This will be our FOURTH digital photography and illustrations display. Images from this show will be donated to our designated charity: Hope & Home Foster Care Agency.   hopeandhome.org
