HOPE & HOME DIGITAL IMAGING GUIDELINES FOR TEEN ARTWORK
GUIDELINES
Target Audience: Hope & Home Teens, Grades 7 – 12 (ages 12 – 18).
DROP OFF: At Academy Art & Frame (7560 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs 80920) from April 24 – June 2. Also May 28 from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at East Library during our monthly meeting.
Subjects of Images: Sports, Transportation (No Trains!), Nature, Pets & Wildlife, Space, Humor (things out of place / surprises) Abstract, Landscapes, Seascapes, Skyscapes, Unique Architecture, Culture, Street Scenes. OTHER? Ask Linda Case. Need ideas? Check out the creative ceiling tiles in Academy Art & Frame, made by high schoolers.
NO children’s faces. NO unfriendly family subjects. NO holiday or religious subjects.
Note: Inspirational / Fun / Colorful / Illustrations encouraged. Multiples of one print are acceptable. Also illustrations: COURAGE, HOPE, STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, TRUST.
Sizes: A variety of sizes / shapes accepted. Suggested: 4 x 6, 5 x 5, 8 x 10, 8 X 12, 11 x 14.
Finished Images: They may be simply mounted. May have wire or be wireless. No frames or glass. They may be laminated or sprayed for longevity. Color prints only. If SMALL loose prints, deliver in clear sleeve protectors / large envelopes. Sharpies and sleeve protectors available at drop off. For the larger mounted pictures, do you have some extra removable command strips / hooks to donate for simple back hanging?!?
Signatures: Back of images with black sharpie. Artist first name, and last name initial only.
LAST DROP OFF: September 24, 2026, Thursday Monthly Meeting, or Friday, September 25, 2026, at Academy Art & Frame, Co., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ask for the PDIS Bin.
Note: Hoping to collect 75 prints minimum. Feel free to ask friends or members from other clubs to join in this project. It is not necessary to be a PDIS member. These images will not be hanging in the Children’s Library 21C.
HOPE & HOME LIABILITIES: Collection of teen-friendly images will be monitored by H & H.
