Joseph Sharketti’s work delves into the elusive realms of transcendence, the unconscious, identity, and universal human emotion. Each piece is a visual exploration of the connections between the tangible and the intangible through dark and surreal compositions that resonate on a visceral level. Inspired by sacred geometry, symbolism, and religious iconography, Joseph’s works are layered with meaning. Photographic elements captured firsthand, and then meticulously crafted in Photoshop, transforming the raw elements into compositions that blend artistic depth with an editorial aesthetic, inviting viewers to write their own stories in dialogue with the art.
